The Echoes
Lehigh's women's a cappella group was founded in 2003. Each year, the Echoes perform in a Spring and Fall concert, and for the last four years have helped host the annual Lehigh A Cappella Invitaional.
In addition to performing in several concerts each year, the Echoes have also lent their voices to campus events such as The Vagina Monologues and the Association of Student Alumni High Tea. In October 2007, the group did a lobby pre-show before Queen Latifah's performance at Lehigh's Zoellner Arts Center.
The Echoes also tour every fall to sing with groups from other colleges. Recent trips have included New York, NY, Washington, DC and Boston, Mass. The Echoes also regularly host visiting a cappella groups. In In addition to performing with groups from other schools, the Echoes often perform joint concerts with Lehigh's Melismatics, a co-ed a cappella group, and A Whole Step Up, Lehigh's all-male group. The Echoes also competed in the ICCAs, the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, in 2006 and 2008.

A Whole Step Up
In the year AD 2005, in the month of February, four roommates gathered. Their purpose was one conceived by the power of YHWH: to form an a cappella group. The foursome named themselves "the Procrastinators", and proceeded to not do much of anything at all. However, that fall, help was sought, and soon the group quadrupled in size. Women came in droves to hear this new and addictive sound. The music coursed through their veins like an infectious disease. Posthaste, they found themselves to be hungry, so they made waffles and toast. Some buttered their toast, while others did not. But I digress. No matter where they traveled, the newly renamed "A Whole-Step Up" would always come out a step above the competition.
Now 15 strong, A Whole-Step Up continues its mission to deliver high-quality music and comedy into the hearts, minds and souls of its listeners. Last spring Whole Step presented Lehigh's first ever "Explicit Lyrics Concert". Third place finishers in 2008's ICCA quarterfinals, and receipients of awards for Best Arrangement and Best Choreography, future plans for the group include many more sold out concerts and its first CD.

On Tap
In the fall of 2006 the Melismatics were invited to perform at the Allentown Symphony Hall. Also there were the international barbershop quartet champions, Vocal Spectrum. Their performance was so inspiring that the following spring "On Tap" was born.
Since then, the group (made up of Kevin Jacobs, Chase Philpotts, John Rodgers and Jacob Schwartz) has performed in numerous concerts, won several talent competitions (including last year's Spectacular Spectacular Talent Show), sung for deans, trustees and open houses, and has built a large repertoire ranging from Billy Joel to Christina Aguilera. They have also served as Masters if Ceremonies for the last two Lehigh A Cappella Invitationals. Most recently, On Tap was featured in the Lehigh Valley Express Times' weekly "Meet The Band" column, and competed in the FUSE network's Make A Star Holiday Carol Competition (and won!).
