a freshman, is a new member of the Melismatics. Colleen has a large family and has five younger siblings. In high school, Colleen represented her school at many choral festivals. Colleen worked for Chanel this summer.

a freshman, is a new member of the Melismatics. In addition to singing at school and church, Brian enjoys watching "Top Chef." Brian weighed 300 pounds in seventh grade, and now he weighs 150!

a freshman, is a new member of the Melismatics. Lucy has earned the distinction of being the most enthusiastic auditionee at this year's a cappella auditions, which of course paid off. Lucy was born in China and came to the US when she was 7 years old.

a sophomore, is a new member of the Melismatics. Jaclyn is a member of Alpha Phi sorority and competed for her sorority in last year's Theta Chi Sweetheart contest, singing "Come to My Window" by Melissa Etheridge. Jaclyn is a legal midget.

a freshman, is a new member of the Melismatics. Elliot is from nearby Allentown. Last spring, Elliot won the outstanding performance by a male ensemble member Freddy Award-an award for outstanding performance in high school musical theater in the Lehigh, Northampton and Warren County, N.J. region for his portrayal of Lewis in William Allen High School's performance of "Pippin."

a junior, is a new member of the Melismatics. Nowell majors in international relations and economics and is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. In addition to singing, Nowell plays the piano. Nowell spent the summer doing relief work in South Africa.

a senior accounting major, is in his fourth year with the Melismatics and is serving as business manager after two years as treasurer. Steve is also a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon and enjoys traveling and techno music. Steve is the only member of the Melismatics with the distinction of having a signature dance move. Steve lived in Russia for several years during his childhood.

a sophomore IDEAS major, is singing with the Melismatics for a third year and serving as musical director for a second year. When not at rehearsal, Casey can be found jamming in Zoellner or watching "The West Wing." Casey has synaesthesia which is an abnormal perception in which colors pitches, notes or letters all have color. Famous musicians with synaesthesia include Duke Ellington and Jean Sibelius.

a senior majoring in journalism and economics, is singing with the Melismatics for a fourth year and serving as publicity manager. When she is not singing and dancing with the Melismatics, Julie enjoys singing and dancing to herself. Julie's other activities include being musical director of the Echoes and editor in chief of the Brown and White, Lehigh's student newspaper. Julie used to compose and choreograph song-and-dance numbers for her group of friends to perform for their fourth grade class!

also known as Jones, is singing with the Melismatics for a fourth year. She is a senior majoring in civil engineering. In addition to singing, Alyssa enjoys playing Guitar Hero, talking about her high school choir director and his baby, talking in general, and being manager of choir (and talking about it). Alyssa particularly excels at songs by Ben Folds and James Morrison (aka songs by whom she always gets the solo). Alyssa used to work at Torrid, a trendy plus-sized women's clothing store...ask her about it.

a sophomore music major, is singing with the Melismatics for a second year. This year he is serving as the group's treasurer. In addition to singing, Andrey plays a variety of musical instruments. He also speaks Russian fluently. Andrey and his father recorded a CD of children's songs in 2003. The CD, titled "In The Zoo," features Andrey on the cover, being licked by a jaguar.

a junior English major, is in his second year with the Melismatics. Alec is a member of FIGI fraternity and also enjoys singing classical music. Alec can also play any song by tapping his throat and the top of his head. Alec's birthday is Valentine's Day.

a senior majoring in biology and economics, is singing with the Melismatics for a second year. Anne enjoys speaking French and spent two months in Europe this summer. Anne knows something about everything.

is singing with the Melismatics for a second year. She is a sophomore political science major. In addition to singing with the Melismatics, Brigette enjoys singing the National Anthem at sporting events. Brigette is also a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, ASA and Leadership Lehigh. Brigette went to high school with Lea Michele, who originated the role of Wendla in "Spring Awakening."

a junior in her second year with the Melismatics, is a chemistry major and an Eckardt Scholar. Lily's interests include music and anime. In first grade, Lily aspired to be a housepainter/Broadway star, but gave up on the housepainting in second grade when told she couldn't pick the colors (Broadway star is still up there).

a senior business student, is in his second year with the Melismatics. Charlie is a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and A Whole Step Up. As a Melismatic, Charlie's major contributions include high harmonies, vocal acrobatics, sound jams and distracting Alyssa. Charlie, along with his brothers and cousins, is a member of a band called Balld.

a senior theater and psychology major, is in her fourth year with the Melismatics. When not singing, Katherine can be found at a rehearsal or tech for the latest theater production. Katherine brought her theatrical talents to the Melismatics with her outstanding portrayal of the Zulu Medicine Man in the "Disney Medley." Katherine has a twin brother.

a junior, is in his third year with the Melismatics. Besides being our resident man of mystery, Russell enjoys consuming large quantities of cranberry juice. Russell's first big break with the Mels was his spot-on impression of Stevie Wonder at the fall 2007 concert. Russell was his high school class president.

a senior journalism major, is singing with the Melismatics for a fourth year. When not at rehearsal, Dana is the President of Gamma Phi Beta and enjoys writing about chairs for The Brown and White. When Dana sings, the group can't help but smile. Dana sang opera before coming to Lehigh.
